Where It All Began
The unique magic of Verde started with our founder, Ruby, who began formulating plant-based skincare in 1988 and established Verde London in 1991. Motivated by a deep belief in the therapeutic properties of herbs, marine extracts, and pure essential oils, she built a range that was plant-powered and luxurious yet accessible.
Verde’s creations quickly became beloved for their purity and effectiveness. For over three decades, her botanical blends have been trusted to soothe, uplift, and restore, offering comfort to stressed skin and busy lives long before “wellness” became a trend.
A NEW CHAPTER
The Next Generation
In 2019, Verde was passed into the hands of a family who had been loyal friends and customers of Verde since the 1990s.
Today, the business is led by Florence, the daughter of a Medical Herbalist, who grew up in the Kentish countryside surrounded by herbs, nature, and the original Verde products. With natural wellbeing as her instinctive way of living, Floss brings warmth, energy, and a deep passion for keeping Verde’s legacy alive and thriving.
Together, we continue to make every product by hand, in small batches, with the same integrity, precision, and love that defined Verde from the very beginning.
