Are your products handmade?

Yes, we manufacture and pack all our own products by hand in small batches using natural ingredients in the South East of England.

Why might my product look slightly different from last time?

You may occasionally notice slight variations in colour, viscosity or scent when using our products. This is completely normal when working with natural ingredients as changes can occur due to factors such as seasonal or temperature differences.

We can assure you that we make all our products to the same recipes each time so these minor changes do not affect the quality or performance of our products. It is just a sign that it’s truly handmade, fresh and natural, not synthetically manufactured.

Are your products cruelty-free and vegan?

All our products are cruelty-free, and many are 100% vegan. However there are a handful of products in which we use beeswax and honey as we believe there are many wonderful benefits to be gained using these ingredients.

Are your products suitable for sensitive skin?

Many of our formulations are gentle and suitable for sensitive skin due to the nature of the natural ingredients we use. However if you have any concerns we always recommend doing a patch test first before use.

What are 'Essential Oil Components' and why are they listed on each product?

We only use pure essential oils in our products and no synthetic fragrances. These are made up of many naturally occurring compounds such as Limonene, Linalool, Citral, and Geraniol. These components occur naturally within the plant oils we use to scent and enhance our products.

UK and EU cosmetic regulations require us to list certain components separately because, although they’re naturally derived, in high concentrated amounts, they can cause sensitivity for some people.

At Verde London, we use essential oils mindfully and at safe levels to provide gentle, natural fragrance and skin benefits without the use of synthetic perfumes and these essential oil components are present in such tiny amounts in our products that usually even people with sensitive skin can use our products. If you have any concerns we always recommend doing a patch test first before using our products.

How long do your products last?

Most of our products have a 2 year shelf life from the date of manufacture and we recommend using all our products within 6 months of opening as we only use natural ingredients and pure essential oils which can oxidise when exposed to the air. You can find best before end dates on the back label of all our products.

How should I store my products?

Keep them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve their natural stability.

Packaging

Is your packaging recyclable?

All our products are made from natural ingredients so are fully biodegradable.

Our packaging is fully recyclable and we use glass jars and bottles where possible. For the handful of products that are more suited to plastic such as shower gels we use PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) which is a highly recyclable, durable and lightweight material and therefore an eco-conscious choice.

Do you offer refills?

We are currently unable to offer refills on our products, however it is something we are working on as we have had many customer requests.

How will my mail order products be packaged?

All our products come wrapped in tissue as standard. We do offer a more premium gift wrapping service for an extra charge which you can add at checkout and there is also a place to add a personalised note to your order.

If you forget to add a note, and your order hasn't yet been dispatched please contact us as soon as possible and we will do our best to add it to your order.

Do you offer gift wrapping or personalised notes?

Shipping and Delivery

Where do you ship and how much does it cost?

We send all our UK orders with Royal Mail.

Our standard UK delivery costs £4.95 for Royal Mail 48 Hour Tracked service or we have an option of Royal Mail 24 Hour Tracked at a cost of £6.95. We offer free standard postage (Royal Mail 48 Hour Tracked) on all orders over £75 before delivery.

International tracked shipping charges are calculated at checkout. If the option doesn't show for shipping to your country please contact us directly.

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

We try to be as efficient as possible and orders are usually dispatched the same day if received by 2pm. However at busy times this is not always possible so please leave 1-2 days for dispatch. Delivery usually takes 2–5 working days after dispatch.

Please note we are closed on Mondays and therefore any orders placed over the weekend will be dispatched on Tuesdays.

Where is my order?

When your order is dispatched you should receive the tracking information so you can track the progress of your delivery.

Royal Mail 24 and 48 hour tracked postage is not a guaranteed service and deliveries may take up to 10 working days at peak times or when affected by extreme weather conditions.

Can I collect my order in person?

You can find all our products in our shop in Northcote Road, London, SW11 6PW. If you would like to arrange to collect your order in person please contact us.

Please note our shop opening hours are: Tuesday-Saturday 10:30am - 5:30pm.

Can I change or cancel my order?

If your order hasn’t been dispatched yet, please contact us as soon as possible at and we’ll do our best to help.

What is your returns policy?

For hygiene reasons, we can’t accept returns on opened cosmetic products. However, if your product arrived damaged or incorrect, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos, and we do what we can to rectify the problem.
