VERDE develop and test products on willing humans, with every growing request from customers to develop further products to suit their needs. Our preparations can have multiple functions i.e. shower and bath gels may be used when travelling as shampoos. We endeavour to develop products with intelligence and honesty that function to enhance human wellbeing.
Our products should always be stored away from direct sunlight or temperatures above 25º. Practical plastics are used for shampoos and shower gels. As is the norm with many companies we do NOT allocate a massive percentage on packaging and marketing and our packaging can be reused as with the bath salt jars.
In order to comply to the standards laid down by the MCA (Medical Controls Agency) essential oils and phyto (plant) ingredients cannot be described in any way that may be construed as ‘therapeutic’, i.e. causing any physical or emotional change that could appear to be making a ‘medical claim’ by helping or alleviating a particular condition, therefore, all our literature, information and labels have been re-written to conform to this ruling.
Our shops carry many reference books on herbs and essential oils plus information on ingredients if our customers need more in-depth understanding and greater details.
Our products are not tested on animals, the ingredients are well-established and when we formulated our products in 1987, the ingredients were not tested on animals.

In order to comply with the law, we must ensure that products are microbiologically safe, therefore only products with a high content of botanical extracts may contain minute amounts of food Grade Nature Identical preservatives within the preservative system.

Currently Companies may label their products 'preservative free', but please be aware that if a product has a shelf life of 2 years, somewhere in the products the preservative will be hidden: Alcohol is one of the most frequently used.
The most common microbes to infect personal care product, are:
